These Terms are the agreement between you and Heyzzle - the audio-first dating app where you connect by voice and reveal photos only when you both want to. Here’s what you’re agreeing to, in plain language, and what you can expect from us.

01Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Heyzzle mobile application and related services (together, “Heyzzle,” the “Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, or by accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Heyzzle. If you are using Heyzzle on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on their behalf.

02Who can use Heyzzle

To use Heyzzle, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be legally permitted to use a dating service where you live, and not be barred from doing so under any applicable law
  • Not have previously been removed from Heyzzle for violating these Terms
  • Not be a registered sex offender or convicted of a violent crime
  • Provide accurate information about yourself

Heyzzle is strictly for adults. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account, and we will remove any account we learn belongs to a minor. If you believe a minor is using Heyzzle, tell us immediately.

03Your account

You need an account to use Heyzzle. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so:

One person, one account
Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared, sold, or transferred.
Keep your details accurate
Use your real name and a truthful age. Your age and gender are set once, used for matchmaking, and cannot be changed later.
Protect your access
Keep your email account and device secure - that's how you sign in. Tell us promptly if you suspect someone else has access to your account.
You’re responsible
You are accountable for all activity on your account unless you can show it resulted from our failure to take reasonable security measures.

We may refuse, restrict, or remove an account, or reclaim a username, if we reasonably believe it breaches these Terms or creates risk for other users.

04How Heyzzle works

Heyzzle is an audio-first dating app. The core experience works like this:

Anonymous voice calls
You meet by talking - live audio calls. We do not record, store, or listen to your calls.
Matchmaking
We pair you with other users using the preferences you set (and, if you allow it, your approximate location at the time of matching).
Photo reveal is mutual
Profile photos stay hidden until you and the other person both choose to share them during or after a call.
Reviews & likes
After a call you may optionally rate it, leave feedback, and “like” the other person. Reviews must be honest and not abusive.
Free & paid calls
You get a limited number of free calls each day. Beyond that, calls use paid credits, which you can buy as in-app purchases - see Purchases & no refunds.

Heyzzle is provided for your personal, non-commercial use to meet people. It is not a background-check service, a safety service, or a substitute for your own judgement - see Safety, reporting & enforcement below. What information the Service collects, and how we use it, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

05Purchases & no refunds

5.1 - Free calls

Each day you get a limited number of free calls. This allowance resets daily, and the amount may change over time.

5.2 - Call credits (one-time purchases)

You can buy call credits as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices, taxes, and currencies are shown at checkout and are set together with the relevant app store. Call credits are a one-time, consumable digital product. They:

  • are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use a paid feature of the Service - they are not money and have no cash value
  • are delivered to your account immediately once the store confirms payment
  • do not expire while your account is active, but are forfeited if your account is terminated for breach of these Terms (see Suspension & termination)

5.3 - All sales are final - no refunds

Call credits are non-refundable and all purchases are final. Once credits are added to your account they cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded by us - whether or not you have used them. This includes, for example: unused credits; credits bought by mistake or in the wrong amount; changing your mind; dissatisfaction with the Service; not getting a match; or closing, deleting, or losing access to your account.

When you buy call credits, you ask us to make them available to you straight away, and you acknowledge that - once we have done so - you lose any “cooling-off” or withdrawal right you might otherwise have had to cancel that purchase.

Payments and refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google, not by us - we never see or store your payment-card details. If you believe you are entitled to a refund (for example because of a technical fault, or under a consumer-protection law in your country that cannot be waived), you must request it directly from Apple or Google through their own refund process. We cannot issue refunds for app-store purchases ourselves, and any refund granted by an app store is at that store's discretion.

Before you buy: Heyzzle has a strict no-refund policy. Make sure you want the credits - once they are on your account, the purchase is final and cannot be undone, used or not.

06Acceptable use

Heyzzle only works if people feel safe being themselves. When you use Heyzzle, you agree not to:

  • Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, defame, or intimidate anyone, or encourage others to do so
  • Post or say anything hateful or discriminatory based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or age
  • Share, request, or produce sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a minor - this is reported to authorities
  • Share non-consensual intimate images, “revenge porn,” or recordings of another person without their consent
  • Solicit money, gifts, donations, or financial information from other users, run scams, or engage in “romance fraud”
  • Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your age, identity, or affiliation
  • Use Heyzzle for commercial purposes, advertising, recruiting, or promotion without our written permission
  • Post unlawful, fraudulent, obscene, or grossly offensive content, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights
  • Collect, store, or share other users’ personal information beyond what they choose to share with you in the app
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service; create accounts in bulk; or circumvent free-tier limits, bans, or other restrictions
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure
  • Upload viruses or malicious code, or otherwise interfere with the proper working of Heyzzle

Zero tolerance. Any sexual content involving minors, credible threats of violence, or non-consensual sharing of intimate images will result in an immediate, permanent ban and may be reported to law enforcement.

08Your content

“Your content” means anything you add to Heyzzle - your profile name, bio, photos, and the ratings and feedback you leave after calls.

You keep ownership of your content. By adding it to Heyzzle, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for technical purposes such as resizing), and display your content only as needed to operate and provide the Service to you and the people you connect with. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must retain a copy to comply with law or where it has already been shared with another user.

You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to share it. We are not obliged to monitor content, but we may review, refuse, remove, or limit access to any content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms, is unlawful, or risks harm to others. How long we keep your content, and what happens to it when you delete your account, is described in our Privacy Policy.

09Safety, reporting & enforcement

If someone makes you uncomfortable or breaks these Terms, report them using the in-app tools or email support@heyzzle.com. We take reports seriously and will look into them.

We may - at our reasonable discretion and without notice where appropriate - investigate suspected violations, remove content, issue warnings, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement. We may also take action to protect the safety of users or the integrity of the Service. We are not obliged to take any particular action, and the absence of action in one case does not waive our right to act in another.

Heyzzle is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or a crime is in progress, contact your local emergency number. Meeting someone in person is at your own risk - meet in a public place, tell a friend where you’ll be, and trust your instincts. We do not conduct criminal background or identity-verification checks on users.

10Intellectual property

Heyzzle, the Heyzzle name and logo, the app, its design, and all related software and content (other than your content and other users’ content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the Heyzzle app on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and the relevant app store’s rules. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of any part of the Service, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

11Third-party services

Heyzzle relies on services we do not control. We are not responsible for those services, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. Our Privacy Policy explains the categories of providers we use and the data they handle.

Apple App Store / Google Play
Distribute the app and process in-app purchases under their own terms and refund policies.
Hosting & infrastructure
Third-party cloud providers run the Heyzzle service under data-protection agreements.
Call relay providers
When a direct connection between participants isn't possible, your encrypted call audio is passed through a relay provider.

Apple App Store note. If you download Heyzzle from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Heyzzle only, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app; Apple is not responsible for any product warranties or for addressing any claims relating to the app; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

12Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Heyzzle is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied - including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • you will find a match, a connection, or a relationship
  • the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, timely, or error-free, or that calls will always connect or stay connected
  • information other users provide about themselves is accurate, current, or complete
  • any defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components

You use Heyzzle, and interact and meet with other people, at your own risk. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13Liability & indemnification

13.1 - Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Heyzzle and its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, or to the conduct of any user.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for in-app purchases in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law - for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit to be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all mandatory rights under the law of your country of residence.

13.2 - Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Heyzzle and its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to: your content; your use or misuse of the Service; your breach of these Terms or of any law; or your interactions with, or conduct toward, other users - except to the extent the claim arises from our own breach or negligence.

14Suspension & termination

You may stop using Heyzzle at any time and can delete your account from within the app - see how to delete your account. What happens to your data when you delete your account is described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if: you breach these Terms or our policies; we are required to by law; or we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect Heyzzle, our users, or the public, or to address risk or harm.

When your account ends, your licence to use the Service ends, your profile stops being shown, and any unused paid credits are forfeited where the termination is for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive - including Your content (the licence and responsibility provisions), Intellectual property, Disclaimers, Liability & indemnification, Governing law & disputes, and this section - survive termination.

15Changes to Heyzzle and these Terms

We are always improving Heyzzle, so we may add, change, or remove features - including free-tier limits and paid offerings - and may suspend or discontinue the Service or parts of it.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and take reasonable steps to let you know - for example, a notice in the app or an email. Changes take effect when posted (or on a later stated date). By continuing to use Heyzzle after that, you accept the updated Terms - if you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

16Governing law & disputes

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws applicable where Heyzzle is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring proceedings in your local courts.
